The main difference between Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B is the time or mileage between the two.

Service A is required after 10,000 miles or 1 year, while Service B is required when you reach 20,000 miles or 2 years. The services included on Service A and B are largely the same, although Service B adds a "replacement cabin air filter" . Service B also provides certain Mercedes-Benz CLA and GLA AMG® models with an engine air filter replacement.

SERVICE A MAINTENANCE


Service A) 10,000-Miles Required Maintenance Schedule*

The following charts detail required service times for model year 2010 and newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The A Service first visit is at approximately 10,000 miles or 1 year. Then it is approximately every 20,000 miles or 2 years. This is for model year 2009 and newer. Please see our service advisor for all Mercedes Benz A/B service specifics.

That means you will need a Service A at approximately 10,000, 30,000, 50,000, 70,000, 90,000, miles (etc.). The timeframe will depend on how often and far you drive. The exact time is determined by the vehicle’s Flexible Service System.

  • Tire Service
    • Inspect and record tread depth, and correct tire pressure.
    • Rotate Tires.
  • Oil Change
    • Change engine oil and replace oil filter.
    • This includes Mercedes Benz synthetic oil.
  • Lubrication Service
    • including: hood hinges, lock cylinders, striker plates, sun roof tracks, and top off all fluids.
  • Cooling System Inspection
    • including antifreeze protection level, hoses and clamps.
  • Brake Inspection
    • including check of pad thickness and condition of discs, fluids and lines Inspect heating and ventilation dust filter, replace if needed.
  • Function check
    • including warning lamps, headlights, exterior lights, seat belts, windshield wiper and washer.
  • Inspect and lubricate throttle linkage.
  • Check and clean air filter.
  • Reset flexible service system counter.
